SUMMARY:Nature Connections
DESCRIPTION:Experience the power of Nature as sanctuary and teacher while exploring the Shores\, Trails\, Lakes\, Rivers and Mountains of our northwest home. Through activities such as hiking\, kayaking\, rock climbing\, camping\, biking and gardening we will learn how to deepen our relationship with nature and ourselves. By engaging with and learning about these unique and expansive outdoor spaces\, we will practice connecting deeply with ourselves\, each other\, and our plant and animal neighbors. We will also learn how we can all be responsible stewards of our natural systems\, engage in environmental justice topics\, and learn about local ecology. On weekdays\, we’ll explore local parks\, while most weekends\, we will venture further into wild spaces\, such as Washington State Parks\, with a couple of camping trips mixed in! \nAll of our trips are designed to be accessible without any previous experience and will help participants build the skills to be successful and safe in the outdoors.  \nWe are limited to 12 spots and are centering youth who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. All are welcome to apply. \nApplications are currently open.
