Join Therapist Rian Roberson on the first Thursday of the month all summer for a wellness drop in session. This is a place for Black girls and gender expansive folks to explore mental health practices and connect with one another in a supportive community. Talking about mental health is no longer taboo — it is essential, especially for those who experience multiple areas of marginalization. We are creating an intentional space for participants to talk about mental health, share experience, ask questions, gather resources, and be heard and held by similar others, moderated by a Black, queer mental health counselor.
Let’s ride horses! During this day camp, Y-WE will partner with the Buffalo Soldier of Seattle at Legends ranch, horse training and boarding facility located in Roy, Wa (near Tacoma). Participants will learn more about the history of Black women during the western era, learn to saddle and ride a horse, change a tire, build a fire and more.
