Choose from four amazing cohorts this fall, including our Nature Connections Cohort-Let’s Just Play! Each program will meet once per week for 8 weeks, in-person, in various locations in South and Central Seattle. Programs begin the week of October 18 and end the week of December 18, with a week off during Thanksgiving break. All programs are open to youth ages 13-19 and are free to attend! We will keep groups small in order to follow our COVID-19 guidelines. Check out the offerings below!

All programs will begin meeting in person, but Y-WE will prioritize the health and safety of our youth and be prepared to revert to online programming should that become necessary.

We will also be hosting Lead cohorts in Winter and Spring of 2022.

Oftentimes, people talk about democracy and the writing of the constitution that starts with “We the People.” We want to flip this on its head in the 21st Century as we learn new media and technology tools to tell the stories that matter to us with “We the Podcasters: A Youth Podcasting 101 Workshop Series.”  In this series, we will learn how podcasts build on the history of zines but instead of cutting and pasting paper, we are cutting and pasting audio clips to create stories that are for and by youth.  Join the fun this fall and learn the basics of audio engineering and storytelling!  We will be working with the Media Justice advocate and organizer, Ms. Lulu Carpenter from a Seattle Girls’ School Performance and Media Arts (PMA) teacher and the KVRU 105.7 FM Station Manager in the SouthEnd to get our diverse voices on air by Spring 2022.
