Cristina Orbé is an artist, non-profit founder, educator, and medicine maker.
In 2008, she co-founded FEEST, a nonprofit that hosts weekly dinners and supports the development of youth leaders to bring health and equity to their communities. She’s worked as an educator for almost 20 years. As an artist she has toured nationally and internationally, collaborated on a variety of projects and been selected for many international artist residencies. As a medicine maker she has apprenticed with herbalists and traveled around the world learning about medicine making and ceremonial practice. She has also done 9 months of master plant dietas with Shipibo shamans in the Peruvian jungle. Much of her understanding of plant knowledge and wisdom come from her experience with these master plants.
