Manika Bhagra she/her

Manika has always been actively involved in nurturing young minds of the future. Previously, she volunteered as a mentor to underprivileged children in India. Currently, her diverse architectural experience enables her to bring an enriched perspective in the planning and design of K-12 schools. She enjoys her role in shaping 21st century schools at her design firm Bassetti Architects. She has a knack for orchestrating stakeholders − encouraging a collaborative and spirited process. Her thorough organizational skills combined with her dedication to culminate creative design solutions make her an integral part of the team.

She got involved with Y-WE as a mentor after an India trip with her two nieces in 2017. Spending a month with them and her own experiences as a teenager instilled in her the desire to imbue confidence in the young women’s community.

She loves hiking, biking and exploring the U.S. National Parks (incredible hidden gems) with her husband. She strongly believes the US to be truly, a land where if you work hard, dreams come true. At Y-WE, she wishes the women to achieve the same – realise their dreams.
