Maya was raised in Kazakhstan and graduated from Washington State University with a major in Digital Technology and a minor in Communications, building a strong foundation at the intersection of tech, media, and storytelling.
Since moving to Seattle in 2022, Maya has worked in the non-profit sector, first supporting an organization serving older adults and now contributing to Y-WE, where she supports digital communications.
Outside of work, Maya enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is especially drawn to independent films and loves cooking and hosting gatherings, finding joy in bringing people together. She also recently got into linocut printing, a creative practice she’s really been enjoying.
