Treasurer

Joyce (she/her) is a Finance Manager at Amazon, where she brings deep expertise in P&L management, controllership, and planning and forecasting. She thrives working directly with people to drive business results, rather than staying behind a spreadsheet. She’s particularly passionate about building new things, from strategic initiatives to innovative business ventures.

She holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She began her career in product development engineering before transitioning into finance, and has since built a reputation for translating complex financial concepts into clear, compelling stories that resonate with non-financial audiences.

Joyce was introduced to Y-WE through its annual fundraiser and was inspired by the organization’s mission, particularly hearing from young people about their experiences trying new things and building leadership skills. She joined the board in 2024 with a goal to help maintain the organization’s financial health and ensure its long-term success.

A Seattle resident since 2020 and an Iowa native, Joyce enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring creative hobbies like ceramics and textiles.
