The Cover Letter & Resume

How do you write a resume when you have no experience? What are cover letters for? In this workshop we’ll learn about the essential components of a strong cover letter and resume. We’ll practice real time writing and engage with some YWE mentors who can help you make a great impression.

Facilitated by Bindu Sudhakaran (Recruiter at Pokemon)

So You Messed Up, Now What? Communication Skills for Resolution

We’ve all been there. You failed the exam, missed the deadline, dropped the ball. Or maybe you just need an extension. Whatever it is, these situations are often anxiety inducing. In this workshop we’ll learn practical strategies for self advocacy, how to communicate for our desired outcome, and how to shift toward resolution when we experience shame or conflict.

Facilitated by Jam Delcambre

In search of the full bodied YES – Values Mapping in for College & Career

When faced with major life choices, it can be stressful to make decisions. How do you choose a college program, internship, or campus? What does it mean to vet a workplace for your values? In this workshop we’ll explore what matters most to each of us and how centering in our values helps us with decision making.

Facilitated by Ashley Morgan (Career Coach)

We’ve Centered in our Values, Now Let’s Vision Together

In collaboration with Y-WE facilitators participants will set goals through the creation of digital vision boards for their futures in school and work.
