Y-WE Create Facilitator

Jessica is a fat queer femme, sewist, auntie, and teacher. After a lifetime of struggling to find clothes that fit her body and her style, and learning about the negative environmental impacts brought on by the fashion industry, Jessica decided to learn how to sew. She is a self-taught sewist, having learned by doing and embraces failure as a learning opportunity. Jessica understands clothing has always been political, and is particularly interested in exploring how the intersections of our identity influence our personal style. When she’s not focused on her sewing practice, Jessica enjoys snuggling her dog, spending time with her nephews, traveling, and learning about new places and cultures.
