
Hailing from a community and family rich in diversity of culture in Altadena, California, Nafasi is a Community Connector, Facilitator and Event Specialist of 8 years, and has focused her life’s work on building bridges, healing and transforming racial and economic equity.
Nafasi joined Y-WE as a mentor in 2018 and is deeply committed to centering youth leadership and co-creating intergenerational spaces of dialogue highlighting the importance of history in our continuous struggle for a more equitable world. She is the founder of Narratives Unbound LLC, a Consulting and Education Company dedicated to advancing racial and economic equity through financial coaching, community workshops and a Young Leaders Institute. Nafasi also works in the community as a Restorative Justice Program Manager for the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association working with Interagency Schools. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in History and International Relations and a master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Washington Bothell.
