Neli co-manages Y-WE Nature Connections, focusing on Farming and Food Justice programming at Marra Farm in South Park. She first connected with Y-WE as a mentor with the Nature Connections program and fell in love with the powerful intergenerational community of diverse women and non-binary folks supporting each other in the outdoors. During this time, she served an AmeriCorps term with Solid Ground teaching nutrition, cooking, and gardening with elementary school students experiencing food insecurity. Neli is passionate about working at the intersections of Environmental, Racial, and Social Justice within community, healing with the land and growing food with young people while disrupting racism and injustice within the food system. She appreciates learning from organic cycles of life as a framework to sustainably participate in our environment and communities and connect to our deeper selves.
