Rae originally joined Y-WE in 2019 as the Nature Connections Program Manager, bringing with her an extensive background in environmental science education and in facilitating transformative outdoor experiences with young people. She transitioned into the Operations Manager role in 2021, managing behind-the-scenes systems and structures to support Y-WE from the inside out. She is passionate about supporting liberatory spaces where young people are centered, celebrated, and cared for by community. She still helps out at the occasional outdoor program day, shares her love of making her own clothes at Create Camp’s sewing track every year, and never passes up an opportunity to make a fancy new spreadsheet.
