Operations Manager: Young Women Empowered (Y-WE) delivers creative, innovative and transformative empowerment programs for diverse young women* in the greater Seattle region. We envision a society rooted in social justice, where all young women* live their truth, achieve their dreams, and change our world. Founded in 2010, we have grown from serving 50 young and adult women* annually to serving over 700 annually. The new Operations Manager will be a driving force in building our organizational infrastructure, providing administrative support, and fostering long-term sustainability for Y-WE. The OM will strengthen Y-WE’s administrative and financial reporting foundations. The OM will improve Y-WE’s organizational systems; maintain Y-WE’s databases; update HR, legal, security, technology, etc. policies and procedures; and track Y-WE’s fiscal accounts. The OM will work closely with Y-WE’s Co-Executive Director of Operations and Development to provide a strong administrative foundation for the organization so that our employees, our board, our volunteers, and our participants will have the tools and systems they need to succeed. Healthy Futures Program Coordinator AmeriCorps Member: The Healthy Futures Program Coordinator will enrich the health education curriculum of our Y- WE Lead and Y-WE Nature Connections programs, which meet monthly or more often during the school year. The Program Coordinator will support young women in gaining the knowledge, awareness, skills, access to resources, confidence and positive attitudes needed to effectively care for their health and well-being. The AmeriCorps member will coordinate and offer experiential learning workshops that support young women’s abilities to make their own healthy choices. The Healthy Futures Program Coordinator will be part of the Y-WE program team and will play a major role in coordinating our Health Day event and recruiting volunteer health professionals to deliver a range of workshops on physical and mental health. In addition, will assure that our Healthy Futures workshop offerings meet program objectives and address the health priorities and needs of Y-WE girls identified in their applications. The AmeriCorps member will conduct outreach to our growing community of girls and women for program recruitment, after-school academic and extracurricular support, and special educational events. Be one of the main contacts and recruiters for all youth enrolled in our programs, and their families. The AmeriCorps member will oversee the logistical needs of youth programs–including transportation, scheduling, and supplies. Help coordinate youth leadership opportunities and field trips, and increase community volunteer involvement in support of our programs.
