Y-WE is working vigorously to respond to our community’s evolving needs – especially the needs of our young people – in all aspects of our programming.
During this time we have helped our community by:
Creating a technology library so our youth have the tools they need to still be in community.
Delivering self-care packages with art supplies, seed starters, and notes.
Supporting parents, guardians, and alumni with navigating applications for unemployment, food stamps and other resources being offered.
Providing a space with a social worker where they can learn new tools to help support them not only during this pandemic but also in everyday life.
This new programming expresses our continuing commitment to cultivating the power of diverse young women* as leaders and changemakers in our communities as we all work together to flatten the curve.
