Apply now for summer 2024!

July 29-August 2, 11AM-4PM Daily

Location: Bikeworks (3715 S Hudson St, Seattle, WA 98118)

In this program participants will get to ride around Seattle, learn the rules of the road, basic bike safety, how to fix a flat tire, and more. You don’t have to have a bike or know how to ride to participate. There is an opportunity to earn a bike. Lunch and snacks will be provided. This program is open to Black identifying cis and trans girls and non-binary youth ages 13-18. All Y-WE programs are free to the participant.

Co-Facilitated by Bikeworks staff and Y-WE alum and board member, Ami Njadoe!

Ami was a mentor for Black Girls/NB Bike last year and is excited to see familiar and new faces of the amazing youth that make up this camp. Ami loves all sorts of movement: biking, yoga, running, Pilates, strength training, hiking, pickle ball, kite surfing…you name it! She is excited to bring her love of movement and love for Y-WE to the camp and hopefully give the youth a week to remember as a strong, empowering and adventurous camp!

Outside of Y-WE, Ami is a student-athlete mentor, a bookworm, a mango lover, and is in the process of developing a community based app that focuses on the mental well being of female student-athletes. She is a proud Aunty of two(woohoo!), a nomad, and works in Commercial Real Estate at CBRE.
